Bouftini explains how he celebrated Al-Nassr’s goal

Al Wasl defender, Sofiane Bouftini, explained the way he celebrated after scoring his team’s third goal against Al Nasr, as a response to those who criticized him negatively in the recent period.

Bouftini celebrated by putting his fingers in his ears after scoring the third goal against Al-Nassr in the 83rd minute.

Al Wasl beat Al Nasr 3-1 today, Saturday, in the third round of the ADNOC Professional League.

The Moroccan defender said in press statements after the match: “I am not against technical or positive criticism, but I refuse to undermine the dignity of any player. For some time now, there have been those who have been deliberately insulting me, and I am trying to respond to them on the field. I am happy today with my team’s victory and also happy with the goal I scored, which reassured the fans about the result.”

He added: “As a professional football player, I know very well what is required of me, and I work hard every day for my team and to serve its goals. As long as I am committed to the club, my family and my teammates, I fear nothing, and this organization is the secret behind the great work that I am keen to do.”
