She highlighted the importance of technology as a fundamental pillar for accelerating climate action, pointing out that the UAE achieved a technological achievement in October 2024 by employing green hydrogen in the production of iron and steel..

She stated that the project comes within the framework of the National Hydrogen Strategy 2050, which aims to consolidate the country’s position as a producer and exporter of low-emission hydrogen by 2031..

In the framework of negotiations during the Conference of the Parties COP29Her Excellency Al-Dahhak said that the UAE will focus during these negotiations on achieving an ambitious climate financing goal represented by the new quantitative collective goal “NCQG”which is a crucial factor for affordable climate financing available to countries of the Global South. In addition, the UAE intends to complete the activation of Article 6 of the Paris Agreement to enable effective climate action..
