dnata, the global aviation and travel services company, has won a multi-year contract with Thai Airways to provide high-quality inflight catering services to the carrier in Milan, as it resumes services to Italy.

A statement issued yesterday said that dnata’s specialized teams will work at Milan Malpensa Airport to prepare and provide more than 200,000 meals annually for Thai Airways’ daily flights from Milan to Bangkok.

“We are delighted to partner with Thai Airways as the exclusive catering provider for the airline at Milan International Airport,” said Nicola Citarella, CEO of dnata’s catering and retail services in Italy.

He added: “A team of experts at dnata will prepare exceptional culinary products and services that will contribute to enhancing the passengers’ experience and making it unforgettable. We look forward to a long and successful partnership with the Thai carrier.”

In addition to Thai Airways, dnata provides catering and retail services in Italy to 36 airline customers at 11 major airports with a team of over 880 hospitality professionals.

It is noteworthy that in the financial year 2023-2024, dnata’s catering and retail teams provided approximately 12 million meals for more than 140,000 flights in Italy.
