Dubai Electricity organizes activities to plant mangrove trees

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority organized a campaign that includes a series of events, in cooperation with the Emirates Marine Environment Group, to plant mangrove trees in the Jebel Ali Marine Reserve, in addition to cleaning the reserve’s beach, which is one of the most important natural reserves in Dubai. More than 500 DEWA employees and their families, employees of some DEWA-affiliated companies, and a group of DEWA Academy students participated in the activities. The participants succeeded in planting 6,850 mangrove trees and removing 256 kilograms of plastic from the reserve’s shores.
