The revenues recorded by the hotel rooms in Dubai, during January 2025, amounted to about 2.31 billion dirhams, compared to about 2.06 billion dirhams during the same period in the previous year 2024, with a growth rate of about 12%, according to data issued by the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai, the Emirates Today obtained a copy of it.
The revenues were calculated based on the average daily return of the rooms available in the number of hotel nights sold, while the rise in the returns of hotel establishments operating in Dubai is due to the rise in the average return on the room, as well as the significant growth in the size of the hotel market.
According to the department’s data, the number of nights (reserved rooms) reached more than four million nights of overnight, compared to about 3.84 million nights of overnight during the comparison period, with a growth rate of about 4%.
In turn, the daily price of the hotel room in Dubai reached 683 dirhams during January 2025, compared to 643 dirhams in the same period last year, with a growth of 6%, while the average revenue from the rooms available reached 576 dirhams in January 2025, compared to 535 dirhams in the same period last year with a growth of 8%.
The number of hotel rooms in Dubai at the end of January 2025 reached more than 153.6 thousand hotel rooms within 831 hotel facilities, compared to 150.4 thousand hotel rooms within 823 facilities at the end of January 2024. The average hotel occupancy in all facilities operating in Dubai recorded 84.3% during last January, compared to 83.2% in January 2024. It is noteworthy that Dubai attracted 1.94 million international tourists during January 2025, compared to 1.77 million tourists in the same period last year, with a growth rate of 9.6%.
