His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, issued Council Resolution No. (18) of 2022 amending some provisions of Executive Council Resolution No. (5) of 2016 regarding regulating vehicle parking in the Emirate of Dubai.
The decision stipulated the replacement of Article 6 of Executive Council Resolution No. (5) of 2016 regarding the regulation of vehicle parking in the Emirate of Dubai and its amendments, as the new text detailed the times when the parking fee is due in the emirate, as the fee is due in side parking lots and plaza parking for a period of 14 hours, starting from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., all days of the week except Sundays and official holidays.
For multi-storey building parking, fees are due 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and the maximum use of public parking is four continuous hours for side parking, 24 continuous hours for courtyard parking, and 30 continuous days for multi-storey building parking.
According to the decision, the Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai may amend the due times for parking fees, reduce them, or not subject certain people, places, or times, in accordance with the standards that are approved in this regard, provided that the decision is published in the Official Gazette, and it is implemented.
