The total number of males in the country last July reached 6.1 million, while the number of females reached 2.07 million, while the number of non-citizen males residing in the country on the first of last July reached 5.682 million people, while the number of non-citizen females reached 1.6 million people. Thus, the number of non-citizens has increased by more than 50 thousand in just six months, as the number of residents at the end of 2009 reached more than 7.266 million people, including 5.64 million. Umm Al Quwain is the emirate with the least population of citizens, and it is the only emirate in which the female population of citizens exceeds the male population. Its population reached 17.4 thousand, including 8.6 thousand males and 8.8 thousand females.

The number of citizens in Ajman reached 42.1 thousand, including 21.6 thousand males and 20.5 thousand females, and the number of citizens in Ras Al Khaimah reached 97.5 thousand, including 49.1 thousand males and 48.3 thousand females. The population of Fujairah is 64.8 thousand citizens, including 32.4 thousand males, and 32.3 thousand males. Females.
