«Education» and «Space 42» launch an educational initiative for school students

The Ministry of Education and Space 42, the company specializing in the field of space technology supported by artificial intelligence, announced the launch of an educational initiative for the next generation of scientists, engineers and space science specialists, coinciding with the start of final preparations for the launch of its new generation satellite, “Thuraya 4”.

The initiative includes organizing field visits for students of public schools in the Emirates to the centers affiliated with the Yahsat satellite services company throughout the country.

The initiative is part of an awareness campaign that anticipates the upcoming launch of the Thuraya 4 satellite, under the slogan “One World, Always Connected,” and aims to enhance participation in science through practical learning experiences that are compatible with science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) curricula in the country. The Executive Director of the Student Quality of Life Sector at the Ministry of Education, Sulaiman Al Kaabi, stressed the Ministry’s keenness to involve students in various pioneering fields that are a high priority within the UAE’s vision, especially in the field of space science and related technologies, appreciating the keenness of “Space 42.” To allocate a space for public school students to be one of the focuses of this initiative, and an essential part of its future projects.

He stated that the Ministry is working to empower students at various educational levels and prepare them to lead various vital sectors in the country in the future, noting that cooperation with “Space42” will contribute to enhancing students’ knowledge in the fields of advanced science, by introducing them to the actual impact of the company’s activities and projects, in addition to its role.
