Data showed that Emirates Airlines and Flydubai will operate about 4.5 million scheduled seats on international flights (about nine million seats in both directions) this November, compared to about 4.2 million seats in the same period last year, with a growth rate of About 7%, according to OAG, the international organization that provides data for airports and airlines.
The corporation said that Emirates Airlines will operate about 3.34 million seats this November, compared to 3.13 million seats, with a growth rate of 6.6%.
On the other hand, Flydubai will occupy 1.17 million scheduled seats, compared to about 1.09 million seats last November, with a growth rate of 6.8%.
According to combined data issued by Emirates Airlines and Flydubai, the two carriers operate flights to 273 global destinations, with a fleet consisting of 347 aircraft.
On September 30, Emirates Airlines began operating passenger and cargo flights to 148 airports in 80 countries. Flydubai operates flights to more than 125 destinations in 55 countries across Africa, Central Asia, the Caucasus, Central Europe, Southeast Europe, the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, the Middle East, South Asia and Southeast Asia.
Emirates Airlines operates a fleet of 259 wide-body aircraft (Airbus A380 and Boeing 777), while Flydubai operates a unified fleet of 88 Boeing 737 aircraft, which includes 29 aircraft (Boeing 737-800 of the new generation). 56 aircraft (Boeing 737 Max 8), and three aircraft (Boeing 737 Max 9).
Emirates Airlines continued to strengthen its global operations, adding more capacity and connectivity through its hub in Dubai to meet customer demand in its markets. During the first half of 2024/2025, it increased the number of its flights to eight cities: Amsterdam, Cebu, Clark, Luanda, Leon, Madrid, Manila and Singapore.
In May of this year, Emirates Airlines resumed its daily flights to Phnom Penh in Cambodia via Singapore. In June, it launched a daily service to Bogotá, via Miami, to strengthen its presence in South America, via Colombia. In September, Emirates Airlines launched a new route to Madagascar, via Seychelles.
Flydubai recently began operations to Basel in Switzerland, Islamabad and Lahore in Pakistan, and Kerman and Kish Island in Iran. This November, the carrier launched its inaugural daily flights to Bairawa, located in the city of Siddharthanagar, which is flydubai’s second destination in Nepal since the launch of its direct flights to Kathmandu in 2009.
Since the start of its operations, Flydubai has been able to open more than 90 new destinations that did not previously have direct flights with Dubai, or were not served by a national Emirati airline from Dubai.
