The calendar stated that the number of school days in the current academic year, which began on August 30, is 188 days, in the next academic year 186 days, and in the next academic year (2022/2023) 188 days, in addition to obligating all private schools that do not follow the curriculum The Ministry of Education stipulates that the minimum number of school days is 182 days.
The calendar published today by the UAE Government Media Office on Twitter set the beginning of the 2020-2021 academic year on August 30, 2020, August 29, 2021, for the start of the 2021-2022 academic year, and August 28, 2022, for the start of the 2022-2023 academic year.
The calendar stated that the duration of the winter vacation for all public and private schools in the country, regardless of the curriculum followed, is three weeks, in each of the three academic years, which begins in the current academic year (2020-2021) from December 13 to 31, 2020, and in The next academic year (2021/2022) from December 12 to 30, 2021, and for the 2022-2023 academic year from December 11 2022 until January 1, 2023.
The calendar also indicated the number of days of spring break, which includes three weeks for all public and private schools that follow the Ministry of Education’s curriculum in each academic year, as the vacation for the 2020-2021 academic year begins on March 28 and extends until April 15, 2021, and for the 2021-2022 academic year. On March 27 and extending until April 14, 2022, and for the 2022-2023 academic year on March 26 and extending until April 13, 2023.
The calendar pointed out the flexibility for each emirate in determining the spring break for private schools that apply foreign curricula, so that it will be three continuous weeks according to the dates specified for government and private schools that follow the Ministry of Education’s curriculum, or two continuous weeks that begin with government and private schools that follow the Ministry of Education’s curriculum.
