Florida hosts the President’s Cup for purebred Arabian horses today

Today, Gulfstream Park Racecourse in Florida, United States of America, will host the 15th leg of the His Highness the President of the State’s Cup Series for Purebred Arabian Horses, in its 31st edition.

The race is being held in Florida for the first time after the event was organized in previous years at Churchill Downs Racetrack in Kentucky and Pimlico Racecourse in Maryland. The Cup continues its message of support for owners and breeders of Arabian horses in the United States, which contributes to highlighting the historical status of the event and its value as the largest and most prestigious. A series of classic Arabian horse races in the world, especially since its rounds are held at the most important international tracks and the largest festivals and races.

The prestigious Cup race series is held with the support and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Presidential Office, to raise the profile of the Arabian horse, preserve this authentic heritage, and sustain plans for its care and acquisition in all countries of the world.

This station witnesses the participation of the best Arabian horses in the United States of America to compete for the important title, as the race is held over a distance of 1,700 meters of sand for the first category, which is designated for horses aged four years and over. The American station brings together the elite of horse stalls, the strongest classified horses, senior owners, trainers and riders in one of the Big and distinctive confrontations.

Topping the list of candidates is last year’s champion, “Diamond Jim,” descended from Burning Sand Soltau and Terry Eaton, who also supervises his training, while he is led by jockey Hugo Herrera, and “RB Malexis” for the owner Rosebrook Farm, and under the supervision Trained by Gernesto Torres and led by jockey Anardis Rodriguez, in addition to “WMA Big Baby” by owner Rita DeLeon, under the supervision of trainer Robert Calvert and led by jockey Rilo Gutierrez.
