Yesterday, Flydubai announced its participation for the first time in the Bahrain International Air Show 2024, which will continue until November 15, at the Sakhir Air Base in Manama.
The carrier stated in a statement that it will display its renovated cabin on board the Boeing 737-800 aircraft, which is distinguished by its seats that can be converted into a flat bed in business class, noting that visitors will be able to experience the new cabin on board the aircraft, and it will now be available across most of the fleet. Flydubai CEO, Ghaith Al Ghaith, said: “The Bahrain International Air Show is an important event that highlights the latest developments and innovations in the aviation industry in the region,” adding: “We are happy to be at the exhibition for the first time, to confirm our commitment to the Bahraini market that we serve.” Since 2009.
Al Ghaith continued: “This air show represents an opportunity for us to showcase the interior design of our updated cabins, which reflects our commitment to passenger comfort and the integration of technology and modern design to enhance the flying experience.”
The multi-million dollar aircraft modernization project was launched earlier in 2024, and the carrier has so far completed the modernization of 15 Boeing 737-800 aircraft this year, and will complete the internal renovation of two other aircraft before the end of the year.
The program will continue until 2025, when the carrier is expected to complete the modernization program to include 20 aircraft in its fleet, providing its passengers with a more comfortable travel experience across its fleet.
The refurbished Flydubai cabin features an in-flight entertainment system in Economy Class, via 11.6-inch high-resolution screens, with a wide range of movies, TV shows, music and games in English, Arabic and Russian.
