Free disposal of bulky waste in Abu Dhabi

The Abu Dhabi Waste Management Center offers free disposal of bulky waste (such as old furniture and electronics), instead of throwing it away irresponsibly.

The step comes as part of the Centre’s ongoing efforts to provide security and environmental safety for community members, and to preserve public health and the aesthetic appearance of the emirate, as part of the services it provides to meet the needs of the population.

The center aims to use the service to help dispose of large-sized waste, which differs in nature and size from daily household waste. The resident must report the presence of large-sized waste, and his report will be transferred to the center’s authorized contractor, to book an appointment, in preparation for sending a car. To transport waste on time, with the aim of reducing the duration of these visual distortions, and preserving the general appearance of the emirate.

The director of waste collection projects at the center, Mubarak Al Ameri, said that this service aims to create an ideal environment and provide the best services to the citizens and residents of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi by providing a healthy environment free of pollutants and disposing of waste in all its forms and sizes, as part of the center’s endeavor to improve At the level of general cleanliness, preserving the environment, supporting sustainability, and eliminating the phenomenon of random throwing.

Al-Amiri stressed the center’s commitment to providing large-scale waste disposal services, in line with local environmental safety and security standards and requirements, calling for communicating with the center and reporting any waste, as the center’s work team is ready to provide all means of cooperation to the various segments.

He pointed out that the center is not responsible for removing large waste from inside homes or apartments, explaining that the center’s mission is to transport and dispose of waste.

It is noteworthy that the Abu Dhabi Waste Management Center is responsible for coordinating all waste management work within the emirate, and to achieve this, it communicates with various segments of society to establish sustainability practices and concepts throughout the emirate.
