Get to know the new Director General of the State Security Service in Dubai

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, issued a decree appointing Major General Talal Humaid Belhoul, Decree No. (13) of 2017, appointing Major General Talal Humaid Belhoul, Director General of the State Security Service in Dubai.

Al-Hawl has a long professional career, as he is considered a certified expert in several security specializations. He was one of the pioneers in using modern technologies in his field. He received a number of high honors in recognition of his career. He was born in Dubai on April 12, 1968 AD. He is married and a father of five children. He holds a degree. A Bachelor of Laws and a Diploma in Police Sciences from the Dubai Police Academy.

He began his professional career in 1987 AD by joining the first batch of candidates at the Dubai Police Academy, and after graduating from it in 1991 AD, he joined the work team of the General Administration of State Security within the organizational structure of the Dubai Police General Command, and since then he has performed many roles and tasks in various fields of work. He also worked on developing his skills in using modern scientific techniques in the field of security investigations and methods of detecting deception, and he played an effective leadership role in achieving the goals of The security system of the Emirate of Dubai at the local and international levels.

He rose through his career path until he held the position of Deputy Director of the General Administration of State Security by a royal decree from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of the Emirate of Dubai, on 3/1/2004.

During his professional career, Major General Talal Hamid Belhoul achieved many achievements, experiences, and skills that contributed to refining a young leadership with field and intellectual experience and vitality. He is an expert in techniques and applications of deception detection methods and the art of recognition, a certified expert and general practitioner in neuro-linguistic programming applications, and a certified lecturer in National Security subject, in addition to having consulting experience in criminal psychology.

He also managed a number of higher committees and specialized teams to uncover the ambiguity of most security issues affecting state security. He officially represented the Dubai State Security Service in many international events inside and outside the country. He participated in supporting international efforts to combat terrorism and organized crime, in addition to being one of the founders of Transportation Security Administration and the Specialized Communications Corporation (Nidaa). He received the Excellent and Loyal Service Medal after spending 10 years in the Dubai Police. He also received the Excellent and Loyal Service Medal 20 years later. For his service in the police force at the Dubai Police General Command, he received the Golden Jubilee Medal, the Security Cooperation Medal, and many badges of appreciation.

Belhoul held several positions of great importance, the most recent of which was Deputy Director of the State Security Service in Dubai. Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Specialized Communications Corporation (Nidaa), Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federal Authority for Ports, Borders and Free Zones Security, member of the Supreme Council for National Security for the Emirate of Dubai, member of the Supreme Police Council, and member of many legislative committees that contributed to developing laws and legislation in Dubai.
