Jumeirah Beach embraces open water competitions in Dubai International


Dubai International Marine Sports Club has completed its technical equipment to host open water competitions, within the Dubai International Water Games Championship 2025, which is hosted by Dubai, and includes five water sports, namely diving, water ball, artistic swimming, open water, and swimming and continues until the 21st of this month.

The Jumeirah Paper General Beach near the Bulgari Resort and the Jumeirah Pay Island Bridge, on Saturday and the next Sunday, will host open water competitions within the activities of the Dubai International Water Games Championship, which is witnessing the organization of five races in open water for 200 meters, 400 meters, 800 meters, 2.5 km, and 5 km designed for various levels and groups, with the aim of providing the opportunity for everyone to participate and gain experience.

Member of the Board of Directors, Executive Director of Dubai International Marine Sports Club, Mohamed Al -Falahi, stressed that “the club harnesses all its technical and logistical potentials to make the competitions that will continue on Saturday and Sunday in Jumeirah Beach, especially since the event bears the name of the Emirate of Dubai.”

Al -Falahi said in press statements: “The Dubai International Marine Sports Club organized many global and regional events, in cooperation and partnership with the Emirates Swimming Federation, bodies and local departments in the Emirate of Dubai, including the Dubai Cup of Open Water Swimming Marathon 2002 for a distance of 16 km (one of the rounds of the World Championship series) and the second Arab championship for long distances in the same year.”

The Executive Director of the Dubai International Marine Sports Club added: “The club remained keen on organizing many open water swimming competitions, especially the Emirates Cup for the public and juniors, the last of which was last February, as well as its embrace of the water ball initiative in open water in one of the years, the iron man competitions, Treethlon and diving championships, where all the aids provided for its success.”
