The new terminal contributes to adding 23% to Khalifa Port’s annual capacity, reaching approximately 10 million standard containers (20-foot units).

The new station is connected to the Etihad Rail network, and will significantly enhance Khalifa Port’s connectivity network and consolidate its position as a transit gateway to the region.

The new facility was designed in a manner consistent with sustainability standards, in a way that supports the UAE’s goals of laying the foundations of a circular economy by recycling building materials and reducing waste resulting from operational processes.

The new station provides the CMA CGM Group with a modern and sustainable center to support the growing trade between Asia, Africa, Europe and the Mediterranean countries, in addition to the Middle East and the Indian subcontinent.
