The Director-General of the Office of His Highness the Crown Prince of Dubai, Saif bin Markhan Al Ketbi, said on the occasion of the celebrations of the 43rd National Day of the State, “Every year the anniversary of the founding of the UAE passes with new joy as if it is the first year, because the momentum continues, ambition and determination are increasing, and the leadership and people are in a unique cohesion.” They live the present with its challenges and achievements, recall the past with its lessons and lessons, and look to the future with its ambitions and hopes.”

He continued, “Some of us lived the first scene of the declaration of the Union State, which was the result of the efforts made by Zayed, Rashid, and their brothers – may God bless them – during the years during which the region was known as the Trucial Coast Emirates. They were hopeful for a better future for their people, armed with hope and determination, overcoming the obstacles in Inside and outside.

He stated that the success of the establishment of the state was and continues to be an inspiring event for all Arab peoples from the ocean to the Gulf, and not simply because the union has survived more than four centuries. Rather, it is the nucleus of the young, modern state that takes on the causes of the renaissance, and achieves success after success in doing so. It is no secret to the reader of modern history that the attempts of Arab unity before and after the establishment of the state were not destined to survive, as the UAE remained. Stressing that the spirit of the union has extended to regional Arab unions, such as the Arab Gulf Cooperation Council, the Arab Maghreb Union, and others, and regardless of the successes and failures of these unions, only the nearby Gulf Cooperation Council remains active on the scene, by virtue of the geography and history of the spirit of the UAE union.

Al-Ketbi said that the second scene is present and prosperous. Its leaders took over the banner from the founding fathers, preserving the spirit of the union and adhering to its authentic components. At the forefront of the scene are Khalifa, Mohammed bin Rashid, and their brothers, the rulers of the Emirates and the crown princes, and with them in the picture is a generation that grew up in the spirit of union, moving from one achievement to another, achieving a civilizational boom at all levels, from urban development, advanced infrastructure, modern means of transportation, and commercial and economic growth. And others, all of this in a system that does not neglect the human aspect of the state’s components, including the individual, family, and society, and adheres to its roots that go deep into ancient and modern history, including customs, traditions, and values. Arab and Islamic, a system that is open to the world, welcomes dialogue and open minds, and believes in peaceful cooperation and the meeting of civilizations, a system that has made visiting the country, tourism there, and working on its land a dream for many people, which has made the country a destination for most multinational companies to establish their regional offices on its soil.

He continued that the third scene is the future of this young country, and the proposed scenario is UAE Vision 2021, with all its elements that express the spirit of the union, and its national agenda and ambitious performance indicators, which aim to place the UAE in the ranks of developed countries, pointing out that choosing Dubai to hold Expo 2020 A strong indicator of the country’s global standing, as it competes with major countries and strong emerging economies that have organized or are waiting to organize such a unique event.

Al Ketbi stressed that the wheel of history does not stop, as one generation passes the banner to another generation, from the founding fathers to the leaders of today, then the leaders of the future, but the people of the Emirates do not stop at the borders of time, as the three scenes of the past, present and future are intertwined and interwoven as if they were one scene.
