Learn about the cost and steps of obtaining a driving license in Abu Dhabi

The Abu Dhabi Government Services System (TAMM), in cooperation with Abu Dhabi Police, has provided the opportunity for individuals to obtain a driving license through eight steps that can be implemented through its website, and through the journey of obtaining a new driving license.

First step: Request to open a driving license file
The procedure takes two business days, but you must first make sure that you are eligible to open a new driver’s license file. You will be asked for information related to the type and class of license, the type of transmission, and the examination center. Fourth step: Issuing an examination appointment
Through this service, you can request to book a road test appointment, and once you schedule the road test, you can begin the practical outdoor road test, which must be completed before the test.
The fee for booking a road test appointment is 115 dirhams, and the fee for submitting a road test appointment is 200 dirhams.

Step Five: Manage the training card
The training card is issued when the road test date is issued, so please check the expiration date of the training card. “Tamm” provides the training card management service, which includes renewing and issuing a training card, and issuing a replacement for a lost and damaged one.

Step Six: Obtain practical training (street)
After issuing the training card, you must take practical training lessons on Abu Dhabi roads, which can be scheduled at the driving institute.

Step Seven: Driving Test (Street)
Once you have successfully completed your street driving training, you must apply for a driving test.

Step Eight: Obtaining a driving license
After successfully completing the street inspection, a new driving license is issued, which you can collect from the driving school or the nearest Customer Happiness Center. Below is a form for your electronic driving license.
