Local stocks gain 35 billion dirhams in two sessions

Local stock markets added about 35 billion dirhams, gains, to their market capitalization during the first two sessions (Monday and Tuesday) of this week’s trading, supported by an increase in selective purchasing operations on listed companies with strong financial foundations that are expected to announce annual results and good cash dividend plans. The general index of the Dubai Financial Market rose during the two sessions by 0.45%, equivalent to 23.02 points, rising from the level of 5057.3 points at the end of last week, to the level of 5080.36 points at the end of Tuesday’s session..

The Abu Dhabi General Market Index (FADGI) also rose during the two sessions by 1.16%, reaching the level of 9435 points, compared to the level of 9284.93 points..

At the end of today’s trading, the Dubai Financial Market index rose during Tuesday’s trading session by 0.5% at the level of 5080 points with a total value of 282 million dirhams recorded, with the shares of 21 companies out of 46 companies traded today rising, while the shares of 16 others fell, and 9 remained at stability.

Emaar Properties shares increased by 0.4% at 12.75 dirhams, and Takaful Emarat shares increased by 6.2% at 1.20 dirhams. While Union Properties shares fell by 0.5% at 0.405 dirhams. Drake & Scull shares fell by 0.8% to 0.357 dirhams.

The Abu Dhabi Securities Market index rose in daily trading by 0.3% at the level of 9435 points, with a total value of trades amounting to 837 million dirhams, with the shares of 38 companies rising, 31 companies declining, and 12 remaining stable..

Ishraq Investment shares rose by 1.3% at 0.310 dirhams, Mir shares rose by 6.3%, and Abu Dhabi National Hotels shares increased by 0.4%. While Phoenix shares fell by 1.6% to 1.24 dirhams.
