The initiative comes in line with His Highness’s habit of launching specific projects on January 4th every year.
The “Arab Geniuses” initiative seeks to identify the most important 1,000 Arab geniuses within five years in main tracks that include physics, mathematics, software and data science, economics, universities, scientific research, and others, and to support them scientifically and research.
His Highness announced the allocation of 100 million dirhams and the formation of a committee consisting of four ministers to develop an integrated system to supervise Arab geniuses, stressing that the Museum of the Future, the new global landmark, will be the main center of this new Arab movement.
In a series of tweets on His Highness’s official Twitter account yesterday, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said: “We announce (today) the launch of an Arab civilizational project to search for the thousand Arab geniuses in the fields of physics, mathematics, programming sciences, research, economics, etc. Our goal is Empowering them to perform their civilized and positive role in the region.”
His Highness added: “We have built a global scientific landmark – the Museum of the Future – which we will open soon, God willing. It will be the intellectual and administrative center for this new Arab scientific movement. Personally, I bet on science, scientists and those with ideas to change our Arab reality for the better.”
His Highness stated: “These geniuses will be given scientific and research attention, and they will be connected with the greatest thinkers, scientists, and companies in the world, and their ideas will be developed to maximize their positive impact on the region.
