Dubai Attorney General, Counselor Essam Issa Al Humaidan, revealed the mystery of the disappearance of the young citizen Nasser Ali Nasser (21 years old) from his home in Dubai for a period of more than two weeks, as it became clear that “the three accused, who were with him, were involved in killing him, burning his body and leaving it in the Mahda Omani area with the intention of taking revenge, in retaliation for the killing of the brother of two of them, the first and second accused, by the uncle of the deceased,” according to their testimonies, which they gave before the Public Prosecution, while Nasser’s father demanded the maximum penalty, which is the death penalty, be imposed on the accused.

In detail, Al-Humaidan stated that “the Public Prosecution began its investigations into the case, starting yesterday morning, after it received it from the police,” noting that “the Public Prosecution concluded that the three accused committed the murder with the intent of revenge, after the body of the victim was found burned in the Mahdha area of the Sultanate of Oman.”

On October 28, Al Rashidiya Police Station received a report from the father of the deceased (Nasser) that he had disappeared from his home after going on a trip with his friends. According to Al Humaidan, Dubai Police began searching for the missing person (the deceased), and suspicions arose around three of the accused who had gone out with him and returned without him.

He added that “the investigations and deductions by Dubai Police and questioning of the three accused led to their involvement in the case, the murder of the victim, and the disposal of his body in a graveyard,” explaining that “the Bur Dubai Public Prosecution took over the investigation of the case, and it became clear that there was a vendetta behind it, as the accused believed that the deceased’s uncle had killed the brother of the first and second accused, who was also a friend of the third accused.”

The investigations of the Public Prosecution found that the first and second defendants intended to kill the deceased and take revenge, with the participation of the third defendant, so they went with him at night to a dark area, far from civilization, in the Mahdha area of the Sultanate of Oman, after they had consumed alcoholic beverages in order to implement their criminal plan, where they reminded the deceased (Nasser) of his uncle’s killing of the brother of the first defendant who was sitting in the back seat of the car next to the deceased.

According to the investigations, the third accused tried to dissuade the first and second defendants from killing Nasser, as he had nothing to do with his uncle’s case, and pleaded with them, but he did not succeed, as they tried to sexually assault the deceased. Then the first accused, who was sitting next to the deceased in the back seat, wrapped the seat belt around the deceased’s neck until he died. Then they went to a valley, collected firewood, placed it on the deceased’s body, poured gasoline on it, and burned it to get rid of his body.

The Public Prosecutor explained that “the first accused confessed to killing the victim, and the first and second accused confessed to watching the first accused kill him and helping him burn the body.”

Al-Humaidan added that “the investigations showed that the accused have a history of drug crimes.” He called on members of society to avoid the language of revenge, because it causes great harm to society and takes the lives of innocent people, stressing that the laws guarantee everyone’s rights.

In addition, Nasser’s father told Al-Emarat Al-Youm that “his son’s body is still in Oman to conduct a genetic test on it, to confirm the identity of its owner, especially after the features of the body disappeared after it was burned, and it has become difficult to identify it.”

He pointed out that the accused, who were with Nasser, were not known to the family and were not his friends, indicating that one of them had a simple acquaintance with Nasser, and it was suspected that he was the one who planned to kill him, as he invited him to go out with them, and Nasser’s father demanded the execution of the accused due to the heinousness of the crime they committed.
