National Sukuk Company Renames Housewife Title to Generation Maker

National Bonds renames “Housewife” to “Generation Maker” and launches rewards for families

National Bonds renames “Housewife” to “Generation Maker” in digital channels and unveils rewards, quarterly incentives and youth programmes to boost savings.

National Bonds has adopted the title “Generation Maker” in place of “housewife” across its electronic and digital customer interfaces, marking a strategic shift in how the savings firm addresses and recognises this segment. The move, accompanied by a new package of quarterly incentives, child-focused rewards and year-round events, aims to elevate the role of women who manage households and family finances. The announcement signals a broader push to align private-sector customer engagement with national priorities for family support in 2026.

National Bonds applies ‘Generation Maker’ title across digital services

National Bonds said the change replaces the traditional label “housewife” with “Generation Maker” across all of its online and mobile touchpoints. The updated terminology will appear in customer profiles, communications and account management screens to reflect the company’s reframing of domestic caregivers as active economic participants.

The company described the relabelling as more than symbolic, saying it should prompt institutions to rethink products and services for women who raise the next generation. National Bonds positioned the step as part of a strategic effort to make its offerings more resonant with the lived roles of its customers.

Rewards and incentives surpass 22.8 million dirhams since launch

As part of the initiative, National Bonds outlined a rewards framework for Generation Makers and their children that includes quarterly incentive payouts, targeted children’s rewards and a calendar of educational and entertainment events. The firm noted that beneficiaries have already received cumulative rewards exceeding 22.8 million dirhams since the company’s inception.

Quarterly incentive schemes are designed to boost regular saving habits among Generation Makers, while child-targeted rewards aim to encourage family saving plans. National Bonds said the package will run throughout the year and will be adjusted to meet participation and engagement trends.

Generation Makers contribute 505 million dirhams of managed assets; app use at 64%

National Bonds disclosed that Generation Makers now represent 505 million dirhams of the company’s total assets under management, highlighting their tangible financial contribution. The firm also reported a 64 percent adoption rate of its smart app among this group, indicating strong digital engagement in managing savings plans.

Officials said the figures demonstrate active financial participation by women who manage households and that digital tools are playing a central role in their savings behaviour. The firm suggested that higher app usage will allow it to introduce more personalized products and rewards tailored to Generation Makers’ needs.

Company leadership links move to national Family Year priorities

The relabelling and associated programmes were presented as consistent with the UAE’s Family Year 2026 priorities and with guidance from leadership. National Bonds cited the endorsement of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, for adopting the new designation as part of a broader national conversation on family and social policy.

Rehab Lutah, Vice President and Group Executive at National Bonds, said the decision reflects respect for the role these women play in building strong families and, by extension, a strong nation. Lutah emphasised that the company’s commitment extends beyond terminology to concrete support, positioning Generation Makers at the centre of its strategic priorities.

Children’s programmes and year-round community events planned

Beyond financial rewards, National Bonds outlined plans for family-oriented events and educational activities throughout the year targeted at Generation Makers and their children. The company said these initiatives will combine entertainment with financial literacy and community engagement to strengthen saving habits across generations.

Officials indicated that events will range from workshops on managing household finances to recreational family programmes, with the intention of fostering a culture of collective saving and long-term planning. The firm expects these activities to create touchpoints that reinforce both digital engagement and in-person community ties.

National Bonds framed the renaming and associated incentives as a private-sector contribution to national objectives for family well-being, and said it will continue to develop services that reflect evolving social roles. The company signalled plans to monitor uptake and adjust rewards and programmes to ensure they deliver measurable benefits to Generation Makers and their families.
