“Nimr Motors” supplies the armed forces with armored vehicles for 3 billion dirhams

The General Command of the Armed Forces and Nimr Motors Company – one of the Tawazun Group companies – signed a contract worth more than 3 billion dirhams under which the Armed Forces will be supplied with six- and four-wheel-drive Nimr armored vehicles.

The General Command of the Armed Forces stated that the decision to purchase Nimr vehicles comes within the framework of its keenness to keep pace with the great development witnessed by the global defense industry sectors, and to support and encourage national industries.

It is noteworthy that the General Command of the Armed Forces announced last February its intention to purchase a group of six- and four-wheel-drive Nimr vehicles, which are manufactured by Nimr Automotive Company – one of the Tawazun Group companies – after these vehicles were subjected to successful tests on various terrains in the UAE.

The General Command stated that the results of the tests clearly demonstrated that the Nimr vehicles exceededly meet all requirements, in terms of design, performance and flexibility of movement, in addition to other requirements.
