The organizing committee of the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open Women’s Tennis Championship announced that the 2025 edition will be the strongest in the tournament’s history, with the participation of 7 of the top 20 players in the world in the Women’s Tennis Association rankings.
The tournament will be held in Zayed Sports City, from February 1 to 8.
Leading the tournament is Kazakhstani Elena Rybakina, who will defend the title and is ranked sixth in the world, and star Daria Kasatkina, ranked ninth in the world, will also return. Tunisian star Ons Jabeur, who returns to the field after recovering from a shoulder injury, will also participate amid great public support, in addition to Spanish Paula Badosa, formerly ranked second in the world, and Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maya, who excelled by reaching the semi-finals in the last two editions of the tournament.
