The mothers of martyrs affirmed that their children are not more precious than the soil of the homeland, stressing that they now wear the veil of pride and dignity, and the title of “Mother of the Martyr” was their greatest honor, which they only attained with patience and seeking reward from God Almighty.
They pointed out that the celebration of “Mother’s Day” this year within the Mother of the Emirates Festival, under the title: “Mother of the Martyr… Pride of the Emirates,” has a different specificity given that it honors the martyrs and their sacrifices.
In detail, the mother of the martyr Abdulaziz Khamis Al-Naqbi, Sheikha Hamid Al-Naqbi, (58 years old – from the city of Khor Fakkan), said: “(Abdulaziz) was the fourth among his 14 brothers, and he was 30 years old at the time of his martyrdom, and he had four sons, the eldest of whom was 14 years old,” noting that Until her heroic son was martyred on a military mission in 2009, while trying to save a group of drowning fishermen, but the waves upset the balance of the boat in which He and his companions were carrying it, but they were unable to control it, which led to it capsizing and being lost at sea.

Return the favor The mother of the martyr Ahmed Muhammad al-Hamidi, Mumtaz Muhammad Siraj al-Din, (59 years old), said that God chose her son to join his colleagues and to be martyred in response to duty, adding: “I am proud of the martyrdom of one of my sons to return part of the beauty of the nation and the leadership.” She added that her son had wanted to join the armed forces since 1996, and then he worked within the ranks of the armed forces until God wrote him a martyr during his participation in a military exercise in January 2009. She emphasized: “I am proud of Ahmed and what he did, as he never missed a day in the work that he loved, and in serving his country, and to this day we remember him on all occasions, and Mother’s Day came to add a new character to the memory.” |
She pointed out that all the competent authorities searched for him in the sea, but they did not find him, continuing: “God wrote martyrdom for my son, while he was trying to save others from drowning, so how can I be sad about this good ending, and how can I feel sorry for him, and hold him in the sight of God.” A martyr.”
She stressed that “the loss of a son is sad, but the homeland is much more precious than the love of children, as it is in a higher rank than them. The soil of the homeland we sacrifice with our souls, and our leaders are the ones who implanted this love in us, the roots of which took root in our veins.” She added: “When I hear the news of the martyrdom of one of our valiant soldiers in any place, I feel the pain of losing him as if he were my son, but remembering the status of the martyr gives me patience, and my message to all the mothers of the martyrs is: (You are the ones whom God has bestowed upon you with this quality, so do not be except among the patient ones who seek reward, and it is obligatory) “You must raise the children of the martyrs to love the country and support its cause, as their fathers did.”
For her part, the mother of the martyr Sultan Mubarak Al Ketbi, Latifa Muhammad (65 years old), said that she was happy with this honor, along with the mothers of the martyrs, noting that her son was a former first soldier in the Emiri Guard and was 16 years old at the time of his martyrdom, as he preferred to leave his studies. So that he could serve his country and its leaders, but he was unable to complete his dream.
She added: “My son was martyred during the week of his graduation due to the crash of the plane he was traveling in during military training, which resulted in the martyrdom of him and his colleagues,” stressing that “she will never forget November 17, 1988, the date of Sultan’s martyrdom, which is the day she was smeared.” “There is a veil of dignity and pride in him.”
She added: “Our leaders still remember the heroism of their loyal sons, so how can I forget that day,” pointing out that she and his deceased father were patient with the status of a martyr, as he was alive and provided for by his Lord.
She added that “it is shameful for the martyr’s mother to grieve over the death of her son, but she must cry with joy for the position that God has bestowed on him and her,” stressing that she will not hesitate to offer all of her children as a sacrifice for the homeland.
She directed her speech to the mothers of the martyrs, saying: “Every year you are more patient, every year you are more courageous, for you are authentic pride, true sacrifice, and the example that sets in loyalty.”
The mother of the martyr Abdul Rahman Ibrahim, Fatima Murad Abdullah (70 years old), began her speech by saying: “Abdul Rahman is not our martyr, but rather the nation’s martyr, and he is not my son alone, but rather he is the son of every Emirati woman in the country,” explaining that Mother’s Day passes annually, but this year it includes A privacy she had never experienced before, as it was in memory of her martyr son.
She added: “I lost my fourth son, but I always feel proud, even with the grief I suffered previously, because he worked for the country,” pointing out that he was the most caring of his brothers, and he always asked his brothers about her, and tried to give her what she needed even before she asked him.
She emphasized: “The martyr’s place is preserved in the hearts of his parents and brothers, and what increased my patience is that his place is also preserved in the state, and the leadership remembers him in all celebrations,” adding, “Not a day goes by that I do not remember him and his voice when he enters the house after returning from work, but God chose him.” There is no objection to his ruling.”
Abdul Rahman was martyred in August last year, as a result of an accident that deteriorated a transport vehicle while performing his national duty while he was in the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to participate in Operation “Restore Hope” within the forces of the Arab coalition led by the Kingdom.
For her part, the sister of the martyr Abdul Rahman, Khadija, said: “I am the eldest of my brothers and I considered Abdul Rahman just like my son, and I see how he remembered my mother in everything and tried to support her whether in fulfilling her needs or staying by her side.”
She explained that they were surprised that Abdul Rahman had created a bank account in his mother’s name before his martyrdom, and issued her the credit cards she needed, and the official cards she might need in her transactions with government agencies, adding: “We were with him most of the time, but we did not know that he thought about the day he would leave.” About us, and he tried to work so that my mother would not feel his loss.”
She said: “God honored him when he chose him for martyrdom, and we are proud that he is an ideal role model for all family members.”
