The Emirates Astronomy Society announced that with the entry of the Shabat season, which is the second season of winter, accompanied by the rising of the blissful stars above the eastern horizon, the appearance of “Fahal pollen”, which is used to pollinate palm trees and is awaited by Emirati farmers in particular, and Gulf farmers in general, starting in mid-January. He pointed out that with the onset of heat or summer with the rise of Al-Thuraya at the beginning of June and its end with the rise of Suhail at the end of August, the date palms begin to produce their dates from the date in succession, according to the variety and location. There are varieties that continue to produce until the month of October, and during the period of date production the dates are dried or dried. Drying it, liquefying “molasses” and other production processes.

He explained that harvesting the fruits is done according to the type of palm tree using the “Al-Kharaf” or “Saram” method, and with the month of November and the onset of autumn, the process of harvesting, pinching, cutting the fronds, cleaning the palm tree, and the process of combating it from insects or epidemics is done, and “fertilization” is done in December with the onset of cold and reduced irrigation. During the winter (December and January) and its regularity after the fruits appear.
