Revealing the routes of the “UAE Tour 2025”

The Abu Dhabi Sports Council, the organizing body for the UAE Tour, revealed the routes for the seventh edition of the UAE Tour 2025, and the third edition of the UAE Women’s Tour, which will be held next February, with the participation of an elite group of professional riders and teams.

The UAE Tour, in its two upcoming editions, is the only two global races in the Middle East on the agenda of the International Cycling Union.

The Abu Dhabi Sports Council announced that the 2025 Emirates Women’s Tour will be held from the sixth to the ninth of next February, over four stages starting from Dubai and ending in Abu Dhabi, with a total distance of 540 km. As for the men’s Emirates Tour, it will be held during the period from February 17 to 23 in seven stages starting from Al Dhafra and ending. In the city of Al Ain, it includes four fast stages, two mountain stages, and a time trial stage for a distance of 12.2 km, with the total distance of the UAE Tour for this year being 1013 km.

The Emirates Women’s Tour begins on Thursday, February 6th, in Dubai, specifically from the Dubai Police Officers Club to Dubai Harbor, for a distance of 149 km, followed by the second stage on Friday, February 7th, whose competitions will be held in the Al Dhafra region, specifically from Al Dhafra Fort, all the way to the port city, for a distance of 111 km. km, then the third (mountain) stage will be held on Saturday, February 8th, in Al Ain, for a distance of 152 km, starting from Qasr Al Muwaiji and reaching the summit of Mt. Hafeet, and the Women’s Tour will conclude its stages in Abu Dhabi on Sunday, February 9, starting from the Fatima Bint Mubarak Women’s Sports Academy headquarters and reaching the finish line at the breakwater on the Abu Dhabi Corniche, for a distance of 128 km.

As for the UAE Tour 2025 (men), it will start on Monday, February 17, with the first stage in the Al Dhafra region, extending 138 km from the solar energy station (Shams) in Madinat Zayed all the way to Liwa Palace, followed by the second stage on February 18, on Al Hudayriat Island in Abu Dhabi, which is A race against the clock for a distance of 12.2 km.

The third stage will be held on Wednesday, February 19, in Ras Al Khaimah, reaching the summit of Jebel Jais, for a distance of 179 km. The circumnavigation will move to the fourth stage on Thursday, February 20, and will start from Qidfa Beach in Fujairah to Umm Al Quwain, for a distance of 181 km. The fifth stage will be held in Dubai on Friday, February 21. Starting from the American University in Dubai to Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University, a distance of 160 km, then the sixth stage in Abu Dhabi, a distance of 167 km from the front. Abu Dhabi Cycling Club headquarters on Al Hudayriat Island to the breakwater on Abu Dhabi Corniche.

The tour concludes with the seventh and final stage, which is held in the city of Al Ain, for a distance of 176 km. It is a decisive mountainous stage in the tour, as the race starts from Hazza bin Zayed Stadium, and passes through the most prominent landmarks of the city of Al Ain, reaching the finish line on the top of Jebel Hafeet.

The Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Arif Al-Awani, confirmed that “the routes for the 2025 edition cover most parts and landmarks of the UAE, and this year’s race will be particularly exciting with the presence of elite riders and champions, such as the current world champion and the winner of the Giro d’Italia and the prestigious Tour de France.

Tadej Pogačar, as well as the winner of the Women’s Giro d’Italia and the first edition of the UAE Women’s Tour, Elisa Longo Borghini.”
