Dubai Ports World (DPDDRED) group has made an important step in the development of the logistical region project in Sokhna, Egypt, by completing 65% of the first phase of the project at a cost of up to 80 million dollars.
The project is distinguished by its strategic location in the Suez Canal Economic Zone, as it will contribute to enhancing logistical infrastructure in Egypt, and establishing its position as a major commercial center in the region.
A statement yesterday stated that the area of the logistical area reaches 300 thousand square meters, and it is designed to provide the solutions of an integrated and effective supply chain in terms of cost, with the benefit of the “DB World” global network. The work in the region is scheduled to be completed by June 2025, as it will contribute to enhancing efficiency, reducing the cost of logistical services, and enabling the link between Egypt, the Middle East, Africa and beyond.
“We are now focusing on completing the first phase of the project within the next few months, and the new region will support the movement of a wide range of goods through imports, exports and transit, and it will be Merging it with the operations of (DP and Drald) in the port of heat. ”
