The Emirates Red Crescent Authority continued its humanitarian and relief efforts by distributing winter clothing in a number of sisterly and friendly countries, with the aim of alleviating the repercussions of the winter season on those affected by severe cold waves, who live in difficult and complex climatic conditions.
The Authority confirmed that its plan focuses on expanding the scope of beneficiaries of this winter aid at various levels.
In this context, the Authority’s office in the Republic of Albania distributed winter aid to 2,415 beneficiaries in several governorates, which included firewood heaters and blankets to help those affected cope with low temperatures and extreme cold.
The Authority strengthened its relief programs and operations to keep pace with the increasing humanitarian needs in the winter, stressing its awareness of the negative effects that may result from the lack of heating materials and basic winter supplies.
The beneficiaries, especially the children, received this aid with great joy, as they expressed their thanks and gratitude to the Emirates Red Crescent for this humanitarian gesture that brought warmth and reassurance to their hearts, and strengthened their sense of familiarity and love amid their difficult life circumstances.
