The President of the State and the President of Guinea -Bissau discusses the relations of the two countries and exchanges decorations

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, received today, His Excellency Omar Cisoko Imbalo, President of the Republic of Guinea Bissau.

His Highness and President of Guinea -Bissau examined – during the meeting that took place at the Beach Palace in Abu Dhabi – various areas of cooperation, especially development, economic, commercial and investment, which serve the priorities of development in the two countries, and achieve the aspirations of their people to progress and prosperity.

The two sides also exchanged views on a number of issues of common concern.

The two sides affirmed their mutual keenness to continue to push cooperation relations forward between the UAE and Guinea -Bissau, and expand their horizons in a way that benefits the two countries and their peoples..

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Excellency President Omar Cisoko Imbalo exchanged medals during the meeting.

His Highness the President of the State, the Guinean President, “Wissam Zayed”, granted an appreciation of his efforts to enhance relations between the UAE and Guinea -Bissau, which is the highest decorations that the UAE provides to the leaders of states.

While the President of Guinea -Bissau granted His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan “Wissam Amelkar Kabral”, the highest medal that Guinea Bissau gives in appreciation of His Highness’s efforts to consolidate relations between the two countries at various levels and an expression of pride in the close friendship that brings them together.

The meeting and ceremonies were attended by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the Presidency Bureau for Special Affairs and His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor to the President of the State and His Excellency Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary -General of the Supreme Council for National Security and His Excellency Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan Al Nahyan Minister of State and a number of senior officials.
