His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, met today, separately, with Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and Giorgia Meloni, Prime Minister of the Italian Republic, who are on a working visit to the country during which they participate in activities. His Highness the President of the State welcomed the country’s guests and thanked them for their keenness to participate in the activities of “Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week,” stressing the UAE’s interest in strengthening cooperative relations with countries of the world and building development partnerships that achieve the common interests of all.
His Highness discussed with the Nigerian President and the Italian Prime Minister the bilateral relations between the United Arab Emirates and their countries, and joint work to expand their horizons in various fields, especially economic, investment and sustainability.
The two meetings also discussed the importance of the topics on the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week agenda in enhancing international awareness of the issue of sustainability, in addition to being a global platform for exchanging visions and experiences in a way that serves sustainable development and contributes to enhancing collective action in confronting common global challenges, most notably climate change.
For their part, the two guests expressed their thanks to His Highness the President of the State for the warm reception, stressing their keenness to continue strengthening their countries’ relations with the UAE.
