Al -Tayer said: “We are working to translate the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God bless him, to make Dubai a global center for clean energy and the green economy, and we contributed to accelerating the transformation towards the buildings (zero energy), and establishing a sustainable model to provide energy in support of economic growth, without harming the environment and its resources, and the authority aims to establish a global model For constructions that highlight the balance between development and the environment, to maintain the right of future generations to live in a clean, healthy and safe environment.
He added: “The sail building highlights the leadership role of the Emirate of Dubai and the Authority to stimulate the adoption of a sustainable lifestyle, the use of the latest technologies and innovative solutions to support sustainable urban development in Dubai, and to achieve the goals of the authority within the framework of (Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050), and (Carbon neutrality strategy 2050 for the Emirate of Dubai), to provide 100% of the production capacity of energy from clean energy sources by 2050.
“Dua”, in a statement, that the area of ​​the “sail” building exceeds two million square feet, while the value of the project reached about 1.5 billion dirhams. The construction and engineering work, purchases and construction are scheduled for 100% in the last quarter of this year.
The building includes 15 floors, in addition to a basement and five floors for parking, and can accommodate about 3000 employees, as it was designed to obtain a platinum LEED certificate (leadership in energy and environmental design), and the standards of the global gold system “Well for green buildings.
The building depends on a sophisticated technical system that includes the Internet of Things, the analysis of huge data, and artificial intelligence, as well as modern renewable energy solutions that add exceptional efficiency. It is expected that the water consumption in the building will be 50% less than the traditional buildings, while it will be linked to the “Metro Al -Jadaf” station through a direct bridge, to encourage the use of public transportation and reduce traffic congestion, which contributes to reducing the carbon fingerprint.
The building also includes a conference hall that can accommodate more than 500 people, training halls, an innovation center and exhibition spaces, a nursery for female employees, and sports halls, while robots will undertake the tasks of cleaning solar panels, photovoltaic and guarding.

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority revealed that photovoltaic panels will be installed on the surface of the building with an area of ​​more than 20 thousand square meters, to achieve a production capacity of more than 4000 kW.
The building includes more than 1000 square meters of photovoltaic panels integrated into the facade of the building, in addition to about 2000 square meters of glass jungle and optical fiberglasses, shaded photovoltaic panels and solar trees, and their productive capacity will be combined upon completion of their implementation to 5000 kW, which will ensure that the new headquarters will reach its net zero goals, and will reach the total. The renewable energy that the building will produce more than 7000 megawatts an hour annually.
