Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has confirmed that the Authority’s Sustainability and Innovation Center contributes to enhancing Dubai’s leadership as a global center for clean energy and sustainable technology, by launching a set of programs, scientific and professional training courses, and interactive competitions for individuals, in cooperation with its strategic partners from local and international universities and academic institutions. And emerging companies.

She added that, so far, the center has launched nine professional training courses, in which more than 220 participants have graduated with accredited certificates.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, said: “We support the tremendous leaps that the UAE and the Emirate of Dubai have made in the field of sustainability, and to enhance the comprehensive development renaissance that the UAE is witnessing, and the Sustainability and Innovation Center plays a fundamental role in achieving the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050.” And the 2050 carbon neutrality strategy for the Emirate of Dubai to provide 100% of energy production capacity from clean energy sources by 2050,” he added: “In line with the national youth agenda and strategy, we are cooperating with our local and international partners to launch a package of programs and events that contribute to doubling the number of citizen youth projects in the clean and renewable energy sector, and qualifying our children academically and professionally, in line with future skills and labor market needs.”

Al Tayer pointed out that “the Sustainability and Innovation Center supports Dubai’s commitment to sustainability and innovation and efforts aimed at making the emirate a global center for clean energy and green economy, and is a global incubator for innovation in various fields of renewable and clean energy.”

For his part, the Executive Vice President of the Business Development and Excellence Sector at DEWA, ​​Engineer Walid bin Salman, said: “The Sustainability and Innovation Center is committed to strengthening the bonds of cooperation between various government and private sectors and individuals, to promote innovations in the field of sustainability, and it has become an ideal destination for those interested in expanding their knowledge.” And their technical and practical expertise in the field of clean and renewable energy.”
