The Ministry of Economy stated that the UAE attracted more than 33 thousand and 874 trademarks registered by the end of 2024, to record the highest level in its history, in a reflection of the record growth achieved by the UAE economy in various economic, commercial and financial sectors during more than 30 years, and the great growth and steady growth in the UAE’s attractiveness as a major regional and global destination for investment and trade.
The report of the deposited and registered brands (1993-2024), issued by the Ministry yesterday, explained the growth of the signs registered in the country during more than 30 years, as the registered brands in the country grew by 711% during the year 2024, compared to 1993, in which only 4175 brands reached. The registered brands in the country also grew by 10% during the year 2024, compared to 2023, which amounted to 30 thousand and 780 brands.
According to the report, the number of brands registered in the country reached 5681 marks during the year 2000, then the number of recorded signs increased to 13 thousand and 503 marks during the year 2010, then the number of signs continued to rise to 18 thousand and 686 marks during 2019, then the number of signs increased steadily in the following years as it rose to 25 thousand and 432 marks during the year 2021, then to 27 thousand and 15 marks in 2022, then to 30 thousand and 780 marks in 2023, then to 33 thousand and 874 marks last year.
