His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Governor of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, met yesterday, President and CEO of Operations at Etone International Specialized in Smart Energy Management, Paulo Ruiz, within the framework of enhancing cooperation between the UAE and the leading international companies in the areas of innovation, sustainability and technological transformation.
The meeting dealt with promising investment opportunities in the smart energy management sector, exploring the areas of partnership in developing innovative solutions that support energy efficiency, and accelerate the pace of the shift towards sustainable energy sources, in line with the UAE’s vision to achieve carbon neutrality, and enhance its competitiveness as a global destination for investment in green technologies.

His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum stressed that the UAE, led by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and the follow -up of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God bless him, are keen to enhance its partnerships with major international companies in various strategic sectors, foremost of which is the smart energy and sustainability management sector.
His Highness added: “We believe that cooperation with major leading companies such as (Etone) constitutes an important support for our goals in the shift towards a sustainable economy based on knowledge and innovation, as we continue to invest in developing a flexible infrastructure, and a stimulating business environment, keeping pace with global changes, and attracts entrepreneurs and advanced technologies, in line with the targets of Dubai Economic Agenda D33.”

His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said in a post on the X platform yesterday: “Today I met Paulo Ruiz, President and CEO of Operations at (Eiton) global company specialized in smart energy management, to discuss promising opportunities and enhance our partnerships in the smart energy and sustainability sector.”
His Highness added: “We will continue to invest in developing a flexible infrastructure and a stimulating business environment, keeping pace with global changes, and attracting entrepreneurs and advanced technologies, in line with the targets of Dubai Economic Agenda D33, and in compliance with the UAE’s vision in achieving carbon neutrality, and with the aim of enhancing our competition as a global destination to invest in green technologies, and the leadership of the sustainable economy globally.”

For his part, Paulo Ruiz expressed his appreciation for the ambitious Dubai approach to the leadership of innovation, and the provision of a flexible and attractive business environment, stressing the commitment of “Etone” to expand its scope of its business in the region, and contribute to supporting the national agendas of the UAE in the areas of sustainability, digital transformation and smart energy.
