“World Food Week” concludes its activities in Abu Dhabi

The “World Food Week” activities, which were held at the ADNEC Center in Abu Dhabi, ended today. The event, which was organized by the ADNEC Group and the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, and whose activities began on the 26th of this month, constituted a forum for food security pioneers to discuss issues and challenges related to global food security, such as agricultural sustainability. The World Food Security Summit is the most prominent event of the week, as it hosted 21 ministers and government officials from food security decision-makers around the world.
The summit discussed sustainable solutions in this regard, and also highlighted issues of international cooperation and strengthening joint efforts between countries and organizations around the world in order to strengthen the food security system and combat hunger.
More than 80 international experts, in addition to an elite group of experts from around the world, spoke at the summit to discuss the latest developments in the field of food security, including climate-smart agriculture, agricultural technology, and supply chains. More than 660 exhibitors from major companies operating in the food and beverage sector, from more than 70 countries, participated in the Abu Dhabi International Food Exhibition 2024, which was held in conjunction with World Food Week, in addition to the world’s leading brands that showcased the latest developments in food technology and industries. Sustainable food. More than 20 date-producing countries participated in the exhibition, discussing progress in sustainable agricultural practices.
Agthia Group, the regional food and beverage group, also participated in the third edition of the Abu Dhabi International Food Exhibition 2024.
