A penalty for any player standing on the ball

The Brazilian Football Association directed the referees to punish the players who stand on the ball, with a yellow card, after a similar movement from the Dutch striker, Memphis Depay, caused a fight in the final of Paulista.

Three days after the Dibai incident, two players received warnings for standing on the ball during a match between Bolivia and Brazil in the South American U -17 Championship.

The Brazilian Federation said in a statement: “Last week, the South American Football Association (Connebol) advised … the necessity of compliance with the technical and disciplinary procedure, the indirect free kick and the yellow card, respectively, when the player does this movement.”
