Dubai and Sharjah clubs dominate the “Karate Cup” titles


Dubai and Sharjah Karate Clubs dominated the individual kata competition titles in the first rounds of the Federation Cup for the under-21 categories of buds, flowers and cubs, which was held the day before yesterday in the Sharjah Club hall with the participation of 218 male and female players.

The cup champions in the “Federation Cup” competition for each age group are expected to be announced at the end of the next “kumite” rounds, where the cup (for each category) will be crowned according to the highest total of medals.

The coronation ceremony was attended by the Vice President of the Emirati and Asian Federations, and a member of the Executive Office of the International Karate Federation, Rashid Abdul Majeed Al Ali, and a member of the Karate Federation and Chairman of the Competitions Committee, Ibrahim Al Nuaimi, and the Executive Director of the Federation, Muhammad Abbas, and the Technical Director of the Federation, Hisham Sari, and the team topped the Dubai Police, girls category (B), won four medals (gold and three bronze), followed by Al-Ahly youth (gold and bronze), then Sharjah Women’s Sports Club players. (2 silver).

Sharjah topped the Individual Games category (Cubes B) with five medals (one gold, two silver and two bronze), followed by Shabab Al Ahli with a gold, then Kalba (two bronze).

In the under-21 category (females), the lead went to the players of the Tareq Torossian Center with a gold, followed by Al-Ahly Youth with a silver, then the Dubai Police and Sharjah Women’s Sports Club each won a bronze, and the under-21 (males) lead went to the Sharjah Individual Games Club with a gold, followed by Kalba. With a silver, then Al Dhaid with a bronze.
