Dubai topped the list of the largest and most prominent tourist destinations in the world in terms of hotel occupancy levels during January 2025, recording a strong performance with the arrival of the general average for the occupation of hotel establishments in the emirate to 82.4%, according to data issued by the company “Amadeus” specializing in the services and solutions of tourism and travel technology.
The hotel occupancy rates during January exceeded the levels recorded last December in conjunction with the holiday season and holidays, as the rate reached 80.2%, with a growth rate of about 3%.
According to the company’s data on the performance of the most prominent and largest tourist destinations in the world, the Emirates Today obtained a copy of it. Dubai continued to record strong performance rates throughout January 2024, and reached its climax in the last week of the same month to break the occupancy rate of the 90.5% on the day January 29.
The general average of occupancy reached more than 86% in the last week of January, in conjunction with the activities of the Arab Health Exhibition and Conference, and the first week of January recorded strong occupancy levels that exceeded 85%.
Dubai witnessed a great impetus in demand during January 2024, with the winter tourism season, business activities and major conferences that hosted it.

It is noteworthy that the number of hotel rooms in Dubai reached the end of November 2024, more than 153 thousand and 390 hotel rooms within 828 hotel establishments, compared to about 149 thousand and 685 hotel rooms within 820 establishments at the end of November 2023, at a time when Dubai provides thousands of units «holiday homes ».
