Yesterday, ADNOC organized a graduation ceremony for the 2024 batch of trainees in the ADNOC Technical Academy programs, who successfully completed specialized technical training programs in the energy sector, to prepare them to work in the company’s various sites and fields.
The company said in a statement that the new batch included 358 trainees in specialized programs in the energy sector, including a diploma in electrical maintenance, a diploma in precision and control equipment maintenance, a diploma in mechanical maintenance, and a diploma in oil and gas processing operations. The training program extends over 24 months, and includes practical and theoretical training stages in the academy and the company’s fields, and applies the latest advanced technology solutions in its training courses, to ensure that graduates are able to make the most of these advanced technologies in their careers, and support ADNOC’s efforts to become the most advanced technology and artificial intelligence-based energy company in the world.
Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Managing Director and CEO of ADNOC Group, said: “In line with the leadership’s directives to invest in developing the capabilities of Emiratis, honing their skills, and ensuring their readiness for the future, ADNOC provides advanced training programs aimed at building qualified national cadres to work in the energy sector, and capable of contributing effectively to the country’s sustainable development plans.”
He congratulated the new graduates on the start of a new phase of their career in the energy sector.
Al Jaber stressed the importance of qualifying and empowering national competencies and providing them with the latest modern tools and technologies that enhance their expertise and knowledge in technological applications and contribute to introducing them to future opportunities available to benefit from solutions based on artificial intelligence technology, stressing ADNOC’s keenness to benefit from advanced technologies to support its efforts aimed at contributing to meeting the growing global demand for energy.
He praised the level of the new graduates and their keenness to benefit from the specialized training programs offered by the Academy, and to enhance their experience and knowledge in the fields of technical work and advanced technologies that provide promising prospects for career growth, enabling them to build a distinguished career in the energy sector, stressing his confidence that the generation of young Emiratis plays a fundamental role in ensuring the continuity of ADNOC’s business and preparing it to keep pace with the future.
On the sidelines of the ceremony, Al Jaber toured the exhibition held by the Academy, during which he learned about the areas of application of advanced technology in the vocational training programmes offered by the Academy, which enable graduates to contribute to accelerating the growth of the energy sector in the UAE, and enhancing sustainable economic and social growth.
He also reviewed the expansion project of the ADNOC Technical Academy campus in Al Shawamekh area, which includes the construction of two new buildings to meet the increasing demand for trainees from ADNOC Group companies, additional halls and classrooms, testing and practical training halls, residential and recreational facilities, football and padel fields, and a multi-purpose building.
