“Health” warns against using the “Majestic” capsules for slimming

The Ministry of Health has warned against the use of “Magistic Eugen” capsules, which are used to lose weight, because they contain healthy substances, especially the coronary artery and blood pressure, who were previously injured in the arteries of the limbs.

The Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Medical and Licensing Affairs, Dr. Amin Hussein Al -Amiri, said that a complaint was received to the pharmaceutical inspection department, by the father of a girl who had entered the hospital, as a result of using these capsules, as the complaint clarified that the girl was subjected to serious complications, as a result of the use of these capsules. And when examining samples of the capsules mentioned in the laboratories and laboratories of the ministry, it was found that they have severe health damages.

He explained that samples of the “Majestic Eugen” capsules were examined, to lose weight after being transferred by the pharmaceutical inspection department to the pharmaceutical censorship laboratories in the Ministry of Health, stressing that the presence of cibutramin and phenolfathaline materials, which discovered that they had severe health damages.

He stated that there are many caveats when using cibutramin, as it should not be used in many medical conditions such as coronary artery patients and uncontrollable blood pressure, as well as with people who have been infected with a blockage in the arteries of the limbs or angina bouts, or increased or irregular Heart strikes.

Al -Amiri explained that this substance is used with caution in cases of psychological depression and some cases of glaucoma, and high blood pressure, and with individuals most vulnerable to bleeding or under treatment with blood clotting drugs.

The use of this substance can also lead to interference with other drugs, which are taken with it at the same time, and thus lead to an increase in toxicity or its side effects.

The European Pharmaceutical Organization issued a report in 2010 stating that the risk of this drug is more than its benefit, and the registration of the product containing ciputramine in the United Arab Emirates has since been canceled.

As for phenolfathaline, it is a substance used as a laxative, and it has been stopped using it to be considered a carcinogenic substance.

Al -Amiri reiterated the ministry’s appealing to the public not to pay attention to such misleading and false allegations, especially those related to those preparations used for loss and weight loss.
