The first judicial ruling in family business disputes in Ras Al Khaimah

The Judicial Committee responsible for disputes in family companies in the courts of Ras Al Khaimah issued its first judicial ruling since the decision to establish it last July, by decision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah and Chairman of the Judicial Council.

The committee decided in Application No. 1 of 2024, headed by Judge Tariq Ahmed Abdul Rahman Juma, and with the membership of Salem Ali Al-Sharhan and Dr. Ahmed Rashid Al-Shamili, after discussing the legal heirs and their approval of the settlement and reconciliation, to distribute the funds deposited in the company’s account in the bank, each according to his legal share.

The head of the Ras Al Khaimah Courts, Counselor Ahmed Mohammed Al Khatri, said that the decision to establish the Family Business Dispute Resolution Committee will contribute significantly to providing an advanced judicial system that supports the economy of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, by achieving timely justice and preserving the rights of all litigants.

He pointed out that the committee began its work directly, and considered the first request before it, after the issuance of the decision to establish it, and the implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah and Chairman of the Judicial Council, to harness all capabilities to ensure the success of the committee’s work.

Al Khatri praised the heirs’ values ​​of tolerance and concern for family relations, and the impact of this on the good efforts made by the Chairman and members of the committee to reach satisfactory results for all parties.
