Two bankers said that if the financial transfer leaves the sending bank and comes back again, this is related to the account of the beneficiary and not the sender, such as if the account to which it is sent is frozen, the data is not updated or the account is closed, and the beneficiary must check with his bank to find out the reason.
They explained to Emirates Today that the transfer is returned within minutes, as long as the beneficiary is known to the sending bank, meaning that he has registered his data and transferred to him before, and also includes the transfer fee, if the sender has paid it.
This came in response to complaints from customers who told Emirates Today that their usual financial transfers were returned, after they and the transfer fee were deducted from their accounts, without a written reason or an explanatory message to the beneficiary customer.
They confirmed that they had previously transferred previous amounts to the same accounts, which were executed in less than a minute without problems.
In turn, banking expert, Awatif Al-Harmoudi, stated that “if the transfer leaves the sending bank, this means that there are no problems in the sending customer’s account, but if the transfer returns after deducting it, this means that there is a problem in the beneficiary customer’s account, as the success of the first transfer This may be followed by some problem with the account, such as freezing it for any reason, or not updating the data, and the bank halting transactions on it.”
She explained that in this case the beneficiary customer must visit the branch if a message is not sent to him stating the reason for rejecting the transfer.
For his part, the banker, Mustafa Ahmed, said: “Transfers that are returned to the sending account again are refunded the fees imposed on them at the same time, and they usually appear on the application as not being implemented, and the beneficiary must contact his bank or go to the branch to find out the reason, as it may be related to a freeze or Closing the account or any temporary technical malfunction,” pointing out that if the beneficiary knows the reason and it is addressed, he can receive any transfers again from the same sender or any other party, as his account is in this case. It is activated and updated and there are no problems.
