The payload electronics expert for the Mohammed bin Zayed Sat satellite, Saeed Hareb, said that the satellite’s camera is the primary payload in the mission, and is characterized by a high imaging resolution that is more than double the current capabilities. It also has the ability to capture images across a wide range of spectra, including the Visible and near-infrared, in addition to possessing advanced technologies to improve accuracy and increase contrast, pointing out that all of these characteristics allow capturing high-resolution images of the Earth, which will enable us to improve all urban and environmental data. The satellite will improve the accuracy of image capture by more than double, compared to its counterpart that was launched previously, in addition to increasing the speed of transferring and uploading data by three times the currently available capabilities. The satellite’s fully automated image scheduling and processing system also helps to produce images that exceed the amount of images. The center currently produces 10 times more.

Earlier, the Board of Directors of the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center confirmed that environmental tests on the “Mohammed bin Zayed Sat” satellite were successfully completed, and it is now ready for transport to the United States of America to make final preparations before the scheduled launch date.
