His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, ordered the disbursement of a basic month’s salary to all federal government employees and retirees, whether civilian or military, and to all beneficiaries of social security services, in celebration of Zayed’s centenary, which falls on May 6, 2018, with a total value of one billion six hundred million dirhams, to be disbursed before Eid al-Fitr.
His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, said: The Emirates and its people – and every lover of the Emirates celebrates with them – the centenary of Zayed this year, and we celebrate this centenary in particular on May 6, 2018, the anniversary of the birth of the founder, may God have mercy on him.
His Highness added, “Zayed was good and giving during his life, and our motivation for goodness and giving even after his passing.”
His Highness the President of the State said: Today marks 100 years since the birth of Zayed Al-Khair…and the UAE will remain loyal, strong, and pioneering for hundreds of years, thanks to Zayed, God willing.
For his part, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, praised the directives of His Highness the President of the State on this historic occasion. His Highness said, “Khalifa bin Zayed and his brothers are an extension of Zayed’s giving, may God rest his soul.” His Highness added, “Zayed’s Centenary.” It is an Emirati historical occasion, and the people of the Emirates will remain loyal to the memory of Zayed as long as the spirit continues to beat in this honorable people.”
For his part, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, affirmed that Zayed’s Centenary is a national day, a historical anniversary, and a milestone of loyalty to the founder of the country and loyalty to his memory and biography.
His Highness said, “The UAE is strong in the history of Zayed, strong in the sons of Zayed, and strong in the values of Zayed, which run in the blood of every citizen.”
The reward includes all government employees, including civilians and military personnel, in addition to retirees. It is a basic monthly salary for employees with a maximum of 50 thousand dirhams for each beneficiary and a minimum of 5 thousand dirhams. For retirees, the maximum is 50 thousand dirhams and the minimum is 10 thousand dirhams.
The directives also include beneficiaries of social security services provided by the federal government, and an additional month’s subsidy will be paid to them.
The directives of His Highness the President of the State stipulate that the reward disbursement should be completed before Eid Al-Fitr, in order to facilitate the citizens and make them happy before the Eid.
